Odisha police submits charge sheets against D-Brothers in Farooq Tayeb murder

The Twin City Commissionerate Police today submitted charge sheets against gangster siblings Sushant Dhalsamanta and Sushil Dhalsamanta (D-Brothers) and their associate-sharp shooter Arif Khan in the pulses trader Mohammad Farooq alias Mohammed Farook Tayeb murder case at the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM’s) Court in Odisha’s Cuttack city.

Earlier, the police had submitted charge sheets against five accused in this case.

As part of the investigation process police on June 3 had conducted a test identification (TI) parade in the Choudwar Circle Jail.

Earlier in February this year, the SDJM Court here had granted permission to the Commissionerate police for re-investigation into the murder of Mohammed Farook Tayeb.

Notably, the kin of the deceased had knocked on doors of Commissionerate police seeking reinvestigation in the case.

It may be recalled that Farooq, a pulses wholesaler was shot dead in broad daylight in his shop in Malgodown area here in November 2004 by three motorcycle-borne miscreants who had indiscriminately opened fired at him. The criminals pumped five bullets killing him on the spot.

The deceased trader’s wife Ishrat Jahaan had approached the Commissionerate police and filed a fresh complaint against Dhalsamanta brothers for their alleged involvement in her husband’s murder.
