Odisha Polls: BJD announces candidates for nine more Assembly seats

Bhubaneswar: BJD President and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced the names of nine more MLA candidates for the third and fourth phase of the state Assembly polls.

The following candidates have been given ticket to contest the Assembly election:

Pipili- Pradeep Maharathy

Anandapur- Bhagirathi Sethi

Kakatpur- Surendra Sethi

Nimapara- Sameer Ranjan Dash

Nilagiri – Santosh Khatua

Dhamnagar- Rajendra Dash

Jagatsinghpur- Prashant Muduli

Balikuda-Ersama- Raghunandan Das

Niali – Dr. Pramod Kumar Mallick

So far, the BJD has announced candidates for 18 of the state’s 21 Lok Sabha seats and 128 of the 147 Assembly seats.

Odisha has 147 Assembly constituencies, which will go to polls in four phases on April 11, 18, 23 and 29, simultaneously with Lok Sabha elections.
