Odisha polls: BJD moves CEO seeking action against Dharmendra Pradhan

Bhubaneswar: The BJD demanded action against BJP leader and Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for his alleged misbehaviour and verbal spat with policemen during checking of his helicopter in Sambalpur.

A BJD delegation today moved the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) alleging the Union Minister has prevented government officers from checking his helicopter and a sealed suitcase which is part of the normal election checking.

The State’s ruling party demanded stern action against Pradhan.

“We demand that strict action be undertaken against BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan for his actions yesterday which is extremely poor and unbecoming of a political leader,” the party stated in its complaint to the CEO.
