Odisha polls: BJP laps up 7 BJD deserters

Bhubaneswar: In a major blow to BJD, newly resigned members of the ruling party in the state have joined BJP.

Sitting Dasapalla MLA Purnachandra Nayak, former Mayurbhanj MP Laxman Tudu, Former Sundergarh SDC Chairperson Kusum Tete, sitting Aska MLA Debaraj Mohanty, former Polsara MLA Niranjan Pradhan, sitting Nilagiri MLA Sukant Nayak and former Daspalla MLA Kashinath Nayak have pledged their alliance with the saffron party at a ‘mishran parba’ in BJP party office, here this evening.

The new joinees in the lotus party who were denied tickets by BJD, are hopeful of getting party tickets to contest in the upcoming polls.
