Senior BJP leader and former deputy mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), Urmila Mohapatra today joined the BJD in the presence of BJD president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the Naveen Niwas here this evening.

Mohapatra said she was inspired to join the BJD in view of the overwhelming support among the masses for the BJD and its leader Naveen Patnaik. She said she was confident of delivering whatever responsibility was assigned to her by the party.
