Odisha polls: Ex-Congress spokesperson joins BJP

Bhubaneswar: A day after quitting Congress, party’s former spokesperson Sonali Sahoo joined the BJP here today.

She was inducted into the saffron party at the BJP’s state headquarters here in the presence of senior party leaders including Dharmendra Pradhan and Giridhar Gamang.

“Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s developmental works for the nation, I joined the BJP,” she said.

Sahoo had yesterday resigned from Congress expressing displeasure over distribution of party tickets for the Assembly polls. She was a ticket aspirant to contest the elections from Khurda Assembly Constituency.
