Acting on a disproportionate assets complaint, Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raids at four places including on the office and residence of an official of zonal unit of Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) in Balasore.

A team of Vigilance sleuths led by DSP Madhusudan Behera raided the office and residence of Rabindra Kumar Das posted as Section Officer here. The officials raided his house at Bhaskarganj in Sahadevkhunta area and the house of his daughter’s in-laws’ at Balia, both in the town. Besides, his ancestral house at Srirampur in Bhadrak district was also raided.

“The raids were being conducted by the Vigilance officials on complaints of a disproportionate case. Four places were being raided. The amount of wealth has not been assessed,” Vigilance DSP Madhusudan Behera said.

Earlier, a case was filed with Special Vigilance court against Das.
