Odisha: Process for spot admission in PG courses to be over by Jan-end; check dates

Bhubaneswar: Students interested to take admissions in Post Graduate Courses at Universities and Degree Colleges of Odisha through the Spot Admission will be able to do so by Jan 31, 2021. The Odisha Higher Education Department informed the varsities and Degree Colleges of the State in a letter today.

After the date of admission on January 22, 2021 (by 5PM), if some vacancies still persist, the Universities and Colleges are authorised to fill up the vacancies out of the candidates who had reported during the reporting periods and the admission process may continue till January 31, 2021 (by 05:00PM), the letter read.

Candidates seeking the Spot Admissions will be given maximum seven days to submit the University Leaving Certificate/ College Leaving Certificate) from their earlier Universities/Colleges. They will be asked to submit undertaking and allowed to take admission. ln case, the candidate submits the migration certificate instead of CLC or ULC that must be accepted.

The spot admission will be helpful to the following categories of candidates who are eligible to apply online through CAF.
a. Candidates who were previously selected & taken admission and/ or previously selected but not taken admission in 1st, 2nd & 3rd selection.
b. Candidates who have appeared CPET-2020, but not selected in 1st, 2nd & 3rd selection.
c. Candidates who have appeared CPET-2020, but not uploaded the graduation mark for some reasons within the stipulated time.
