Odisha: ‘Promotion Adalats’ to be held on Jan 28, 29 and 31

Bhubaneswar: The State government today declared ‘Promotion Adalats’ will be held on January 28, 29 and 31 at six places in Bhubaneswar. The Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretaries of different administrative departments will preside over the Adalats.

Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy will hold the Promotion Adalat at the CM Grievance Cell department whereas Suresh Mohapatra, Development Commissioner will preside the adalat at Gopabandhu Academy (new conference hall).

Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra, Agriculture Production Commissioner and RK Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary will chair the adalats at Krushi Bhawan auditorium and Kalinga Stadium Conference Hall, respectively.

Pradeep Kumar Jena, Additional Chief Secretary (Rural Development) will preside the adalat at SIRD Conference Hall while Mona Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary (Forest and Environment) will hold the adalat at IDCO fifth floor conference hall.

As per a statement issued by the CMO, the aggrieved employees who were eligible for promotion as on December 31 of the previous year may submit their representation at [email protected] latest by January 23. The employees are required to present themselves during the Promotion Adalats and cannot be represented by anyone else or the service association, it added.

“In case someone is eligible and due and not promoted, then responsibility will be fixed on higher authority for lapses,” the statement read.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had directed to hold Promotion Adalats in the last week of January every year.
