Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today proposed the Centre to share half of the project cost of the new rail line from Puri to Konark in a bid to boost the tourism potential in the golden triangle circuit.
Patnaik urged Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu for early sanction of the project and signing of the MoU for timely completion.

Patnaik further said that with state contribution, the rate of return will be more than 20 per cent and extremely profitable for Railways.

In reply to this, Suresh Prabhu expressed his desire to go ahead with the formalities of signing the agreement.
