As per the order by the Ganjam and Kandhamal collectors, all the schools both government and private and anganwadi centres will remain shut today as the precautionary measure for safety of school children.

According to reports, several areas in Ganjam have been severely affected by the flash floods triggered due to incessant rain yesterday under influence of low pressure over Odisha and neighbourhood. The continuous rain left several urban areas of the district waterlogged affecting the normal life. The roads and streets were inundated with rainwater following which the vehicular movement was disrupted at many places.
