Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra are now available for darshan at the Adapa Mandap inside the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Gundicha temple in Odisha’s holy city Puri.

The deities were taken inside through a smoothly conducted Pahandi ritual from their respective chariots late on Tuesday night.

The Pahandi of Devi Subhadra, Lord Balabhadra and Lord Jagannath began after the servitors placed Lord Madanmohan, Lord Ramakrushna and Lord Sudarshan on the Adapa Mandap and after the Daitapatis performed sandhya arati, sandhya dhupa and other rituals.

Elaborate security arrangements were made for the smooth conduct of rituals of the deities.

Senior officials including Puri collector Dhiren Patnaik, SP Anup Sahoo and Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) supervised the entire proceedings.
