Bhubaneswar: Odisha has recorded 38.22 per cent growth in GST collection in August this year in comparison to the corresponding period of last year.
The monthly GST (OGST and IGST) collection to be retained by the state stood at Rs 1,733.62 crore in August, 2023 against Rs 1,254.24 in August, 2022, recording a growth of 38.22 per cent, said a release of the CT&GST Commissionerate in Odisha today.
Odisha has collected GST (OGST and IGST) to the tune of Rs 8,877.21 crore till August, with a progressive growth rate of 21.40 per cent, added the release.
Odisha has achieved record growth of 38.22% with mop up of OGST and IGST during the month of August, 2023.

The OGST collection in the state stood at Rs 1,332.99 crore in August this year against Rs 1,028.07 crore in August last year, registering a growth rate of Rs 29.66 per cent.
The gross GST (OGST+IGST+SGST+Cess) collection in the state reached Rs 4,408.27 crore during August, 2023 in comparison to Rs 3,883.90 crore in August, 2022, with a growth rate of 13.50 per cent.
The collection under all Acts monitored by the CT and GST Commissionerate in state including GST/VAT/Entry Tax stood at Rs 2,793.38 crore during August this year against the collection of Rs 2,219.81 crore during August last year, with a growth rate of 25.84 per cent, said the release.
