Odisha reels under blistering heat

Almost all parts of Odisha today reeled under blistering heat conditions, with the mercury crossing 40 degree Celsius at 14 places in the state.Weather

Bhawanipatna was the hottest place with 42.5 degree followed by Bhubaneswar. where temperature soared to 42.2 degree with intense humid conditions making  life  miserable.

The temperature also rose to 40 degree and above in Chandbali (40.9), Cuttack (40), Angul (42.1), Baripada (40.6), Jharsuguda (40.9), Sambalpur (41.7), Hirakud (41.2), Talcher (41.5), Bolangir (41.5), Titlagarh (42), Malkangiri (41) and Sonepur (40.2).

The Met office has predicted that the ongoing heat wave condition would be further intensified after April 25 and continue till April 30 when the temperature would go up by 1 or 2 degree Celsius due to the inflow of the north-westerly wind into the state.
