Odisha registers 46 more COVID-19 deaths; Highest from Khordha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha today registered 46 more deaths due to COVID-19 taking the toll to 3,717 so far.

“Regret to inform the demise of forty six numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

The fresh fatalities were reported from 15 districts. While the highest number of single-day deaths was recorded in Khordha district followed by Puri, Cuttack and Bargarh districts with 5 each,  4 each died of COVID-19 in Jharsuguda and Sambalpur districts in the last 24 hours.

The virus claimed 3 each in Jagatsinghpur and Sundargarh districts, 2 each in Ganjam, Kalahandi and Mayurbhanj districts. One each succumbed to the deadly infection in Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Koraput and Sonepur districts in a single day.
