Odisha registers record number of COVID-19 recoveries

Bhubaneswar: In a good news amid rising COVID-19 cases in Odisha, a record number of 123 more patients tested negative for the virus and recovered from the disease, official sources said today.

Out of the 123 persons, 35 are from Ganjam, 22 from Cuttack, 14 from Nuapada, 14 from Balangir, 10 from Khurda, 7 from Kandhamal, 5 from Koraput, 4 from Kendrapara, 3 each from Balasore, Dhenkanal and Nayagarh, and 1 each from Angul, Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh, sources said, adding that they are being discharged from COVID hospitals.

This is the highest number of single-day COVID-19 recoveries in the state so far. With this, the total number of recovered cases in the state rose to 1604.

This has been possible due to the untiring efforts of all Covid hospitals, doctors, nurses, paramedics, ANMs, ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, teachers, Sarpanches and support staff including community health volunteers, as well as the police and administrative staff involved, the Health Department said in a tweet.
