Odisha reports 1637 new COVID-19 cases with 2.19% TPR; 62 more succumb to virus

Bhubaneswar: As many as 1637 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Odisha while a total of 74553 samples were tested, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 2.19%.

Khurda district reported highest 350 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (250) and Angul (100). No new COVID-19 cases were detected in Gajapati district.

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 969185 with 18381 active cases.

The Health Department also reported 62 more deaths due to COVID-19 as the toll in the state rose to 5574. Khurda district registered highest 42 fatalities.
