Odisha reports 4 more COVID-19 positive cases; total count reaches 60

Bhubaneswar:  The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha rose to 60 after four more persons tested positive for the virus today.

As per information, the fresh cases include a 50-year-old-male from jharpada, who is suspected to have come in contact with case number-42 and  three persons ( one 51-year-old male, one 70-year-old male and a 51-year-old woman) from Bomikhal area of Bhubaneswar. All of them have been hospitalized.

Out of total 60 cases,  the number of active cases is 41  while 18 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals.  Meanwhile, an elderly man has died of disease in the state.

In the last 24 hours, total five COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the state, informed Director of Health Services Dr Bijay Mohapatra at the 4.30 briefing today.  Earlier, a 61-year-old male from Jafarpur of Jajpur district had tested positive for the virus.

The tests for coronavirus are presently being done at RMRC, AIIMS and ILS in Bhubaneswar, SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
