Odisha reports 469 new COVID-19 cases; tally touches 9000-mark

Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 tally in Odisha touched 9000-mark with 469 fresh positive cases reported in last 24 hours, informed State Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department today.

Of fresh cases, 317 positive cases have been detected from quarantine centres and 152 are local contacts. While 465 cases have been reported from 20 districts of the State, the remaining 4 are the NDRF personnel returned from Cyclone AMPHAN duty in West Bengal.

Out of new 469 cases, Ganjam registered the highest number of 116 confirmed cases followed by Cuttack and Sundargarh districts with 94 cases and 66 cases respectively.

NDRF personnel: 4 (Returned from Amphan duty)

With new confirmed cases, the tally in the State surged to 9070 with 3090 active cases. The number of recovered cases stands at 5934 in the State so far.
