Odisha reports 5 fresh COVID-19 deaths; toll mounts to 1789

Bhubaneswar: Deadly COVID-19 claimed lives of five more persons in Odisha in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of total deaths due to the virus in the state rose to 1,789.

“Regret to inform the demise of five numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

The fresh deaths have been reported from Khordha (2), Puri (2), Sambalpur (1) districts.

Here’re details of fresh death cases:

-A 74-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

-A 49-year-old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

-A 51-year-old female of Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

-A 52-year-old female of Puri district.

-A 61-year-old female of Sambalpur district who was also suffering from Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease Stage-4 on MHD.
