Odisha reports BIGGEST-EVER COVID-19 SPIKE with 6164 new cases

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported its highest-ever spike in daily COVID-19 cases as 6164 more persons in the state tested positive for the virus during the last 24 hours.

The daily COVID-19 cases also crossed the 6000-mark for the very first time in Odisha since the outbreak.

Out of the fresh 6164 cases, 3575 were detected in quarantine while 2589 are local contact cases.

Khordha registered the highest number of cases as 1132 more persons in the district contracted the virus.

With this, the COVID-19 tally in Odisha mounted to 388479 with 35075 active cases.
