Odisha reports HIGHEST single-day toll of 47 COVID-19 deaths

Bhubaneswar: Amid sharp decline in daily COVID-19 positive cases, Odisha reported the highest single-day toll of 47 deaths in last 24 hours.

Regret to inform the demise of forty seven numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals, informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

The fresh fatalities due to COVID-19 were reported from 17 districts with the highest number of deaths from Khordha district in a single day.

While six persons died of the virus in Khordha district, Cuttack stood second in terms of single-day toll of 5 COVID deaths.

Similarly, the deadly virus claimed 4 each lives in Angul and Bargarh districts and 3 each in Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Ganjam and Nayagarh districts in last 24 hours. Two each died in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Puri districts and 1 each succumbed to the disease in Balangir, Jajpur, Rayagada and Sundargarh districts.

With this, the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 surged to 3,257 in Odisha.

6.A 73 years old Male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Hypertension & Diabetes Mellitus.

7.A 35 years old Male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Hypertension & Diabetes.

8.A 60 years old Male of Bargarh District.

9.A 64 years old Male of Bargarh District.

10.A 50 years old Male of Bargarh District.

11.A 55 years old Female of Bargarh District .

12.A 55 years old Male of Bhubaneswar.

13.A 31 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Bronchial Asthma.
