Bhubaneswar: A total number of COVID-19 cases reached 161 in Odisha after one more person tested positive for the deadly virus in Balasore district today.

According to Information & Public Relations Department, the new case in Balasore is a 34-year-old male. He has travel history to West Bengal.

The patient is asymptomatic and was under quarantine.

The contact tracing exercise is underway by the district administration.

With this, the total count in the district rose to 21 with 18 active cases.

Recently, three patients in the district have recovered from the illness.

Earlier in the day, three positive cases had been reported from Ganjam (2) and Jharsuguda.
