Odisha: Respite from heat wave as temp likely to reduce from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: People of Odisha might get respite from intense heat wave conditions from tomorrow as day temperature is likely to reduce across the state, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted.

“Heat wave conditions to severe heat wave conditions very likely to prevail in some districts of Odisha today and from tomorrow onwards, day temperature will reduce and also thunderstorm activity likely to occur in some districts of coastal and adjoining interior Odisha,” the Meteorological Centre predicted.

Maximum temperature (day temperature) very likely to fall gradually by 3-4°C from April 2 over the districts of Odisha, it said.

Thunderstorm Warning

* Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 02.04.2021 to 0830 Hrs IST of 03.04.2021).

* Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Angul and Boudh (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 03.04.2021 to 0830 Hrs IST of 04.04.2021).

* Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Khurda and Jagatsinghpur (Valid from 0830 Hrs IST of 04.04.2021 to 05.04.2021).
