Odisha revises Class X syllabus; textbooks to be sold after COVID-19 lockdown

Bhubaneswar: Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha has revised syllabus of Class X courses for the new batch of students this academic session.

The syllabus of Class X has been revised with minor changes in 8 subjects out of 14 subjects, informed BSE Odisha Secretary Srikant Tarai yesterday.

The revised subjects included Sahitya Sindhu, Skill of Communicative English, Algebra, Geometry, Physics, Biology, History & Civics and Geography & Economics.

A few chapters in these subjects has been changed. The textbooks will be available for sale after lifting of lockdown clamped across the state against novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the official said.

Worth mentioning, the state government has closed all the educational institutions till June 17 due to COVID-19 pandemic situation. In view of closure of the schools, the School & Mass Education Department is laying focus on imparting education to the students online.
