Odisha Roller Skating Team finds its place in 3 Books of Records on the occasion of 77th Independence Day

Bhubaneswar: A 102-member team of Odisha Skating Academy registered its name yesterday in three Books of Records after five hours of non-stop roller skating relay marathon held at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, on the occasion of 77th Independence Day.

The rare feat was achieved in Asia Pacific Records, Extreme Records and National Records.

Flag-off of the Roller Skating Relay Marathon was done by Olympian Anuradha Biswal, Rajeev Seth and Odisha Naval Tata Hockey. Medal distribution was conducted by actress Anu Choudhary, Apollo Hospital COO Dr Alok Srivastava and Odisha Katate founder member Hari Prasad Pattnaik.

“The sporting event was successfully conducted and achieved by aspirant skaters of Odisha,” said the founder of Odisha Skating-cum-State Secretary Partha Sarathi Jena.
