Odisha school teacher arrested in Gujarat clerk recruitment exam question leak

Malkangiri: Teacher of a government school in Odisha’s Malkangiri district was arrested over his alleged involvement in the Gujarat junior clerk recruitment exam question leak case.

The accused was identified as Saroj Malu who works as a teacher at the Kartanpalli Government High School in the district.

After the question paper was leaked, Malu allegedly wrote the answers and shared it.

Following the arrest of 16 accused in the case, Gujarat police came to know about the origin of the shared answers of the leaked questions.

Subsequently, a team of Gujarat police reached Malkangiri and apprehended Malu with the help of the district police.

He will be taken to Gujarat for further questioning, police sources said.

Due to paper leak, junior clerk exams on Sunday morning were cancelled by the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB), affecting 9,53,000 candidates, who had filed applications for the 1,150 vacant posts.
