Odisha schools reopen after brief summer break with morning classes

Bhubaneswar: All schools in Odisha, which remained closed from April 26 to 30 in view of the heat wave conditions, reopened today with commencement of morning classes.

Due to the heat wave situation across the state, it has been decided by the Odisha Government that classes at the schools will be held from 6 am to 9 am from May 2.

However, examinations already scheduled by different boards/ councils will continue as usual.

The Learning Recovery Plan (LRP) prepared by the OSEPA will be conducted during summer vacation. This LRP is applicable for government and government-aided schools.

The plan will cover the students who are being promoted from Class-III up to Class-X including new admissions and also Class-XI students who will be promoted to Class-XII.

Notably, the summer vacation has been declared for the students only for 11 days from June 6 to 16.
