Odisha schools to remain closed from April 26 to 30; Check details

Bhubaneswar: All schools in Odisha will remain closed from April 26 to 30 in view of the heatwave conditions in the state.

A decision in this regard was today taken by the School and Mass Education Department of the Odisha Government.

However, scheduled Matric and +2 examinations will continue despite the closure of the schools.

Notably, the Odisha Government had earlier decided to cut the summer vacation short for school students to complete the syllabus.

The summer vacation has been declared for the students only for 11 days from June 6 to 16.

“The summer vacation will be curtailed and allowed for a brief period i.e., from 6th June to 16th June, 2022,” the department stated in a release.

In order to compensate Learning Losses arising out of COVID-19 during last two years, Learning Recovery Plan (LRP) as envisaged by OSEPA will be implemented with the existing teachers during morning classes, the release stated.
