Odisha schools to reopen for classes 1, 7 after Diwali!

Bhubaneswar: With decline of daily COVID-19 cases in Odisha, the schools for the students of Class 1 to 7 may reopen after Diwali.

“As the possibility of COVID-19 third wave is minimal, we are planning to reopen the schools for classes I to VII after Diwali,” informed School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today.

After consulting with School & Mass Education Department and on suggestion of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the offline classes from I to VII may resume in phases, he said.

Currently, the schools are well-functional for the classes from 8 to 12. The rest of the classes will resume soon, he added.
