Odisha: Second tranche of KALIA money to be disbursed in Nov

Bhubaneswar: Eligible farmers will receive the second installment of financial assistance under the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme in November, informed Agriculture Secretary Saurabh Garg today.

After a meeting with Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, Garg told mediapersons farmers who have been found to be eligible after a verification in August will receive the second tranche of financial assistance under KALIA scheme.

Worth mentioning, the State government had extended the deadline for the survey of farmers till August 27. The process to prepare the list of farmers was completed at block level and district level by August 29 and August 31 respectively.

Agriculture Minister Arun Sahoo had directed officials to ensure that no eligible farmer is left out of the scheme. For any kind of error in the KALIA list, the officials will be responsible, the Minister had said.
