Odisha Secretariat staff oppose merger of directorates with depts

Bhubaneswar: Members of Odisha Secretariat Service Association (OSSA) today opposed the State Government’s decision of integrating different directorates with their respective administrative departments to function as composite departments.

They staged a dharna on the Secretariat premises demanding rollback of the decision. An emergency meeting of the association was underway, till filing of the report.

Sources close to the development said nearly 500 employees of the government attended the meeting. The decision of the government met with stiff opposition, a day after an announcement in this regard was made by the General Administration Department.
