Odisha sees 673 new COVID-19 cases; here’re district-wise details

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported  673 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 18,110,  informed the Government.

While 446 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres, remaining 227 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.

The fresh cases have been reported from 23  districts: Angul (4), Balasore (13), Bargarh (22), Bhadrak (58), Cuttack (32), Dhenkanal (10), Gajapati (15), Ganjam (239), Jagatsinghpur (36), Jajpur (28), Jharsuguda (14), Kandhamal (44), Kendrapada (4), Khordha (58), Keonjhar (24), Koraput (41), Malkangiri (4), Mayurbhanj (1), Nayagarh (4), Puri (4), Sambalpur (3), Sonepur (4) and Sundargarh (11).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 5533. However, 12,452 patients have recovered in the state so far.

In the last 24 hours, 7500 swab samples were tested. So far 3,93,602 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the state.
