Bhubaneswar: After reporting over 4,000 COVID-19 positive cases for around 15 days, Odisha is witnessing a slight fall in the number of cases since yesterday. Today, the state registered 3235 cases, following which the tally surged to 2,12,609.
Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 1915 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1320 are local contacts. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.
Khordha recorded highest 506 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (318) and Angul (179).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 38,172. However, 1,73, 571 patients have recovered in the state so far.
It is pertinent to mention here that total 47,634 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 31,59,400 tests have been conducted in the state.
