Odisha: Sextortion accused Archana Nag gets bail

Cuttack: In a major relief to sextortion accused Archana Nag, Orissa High Court granted her bail in a blackmailing case filed by Ollywood producer Akshay Parija.

Archana was arrested by the Commissionerate Police in the sextortion case following allegation by Parija at the Nayapalli Police Station last year.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating the high-profile honeytrap case involving Archana, her husband Jagabandhu Chand and their business associates Khageswar Patra and Shradhanjali Behera.

Archana is accused of extorting money from influential persons by blackmailing them with videos of intimate moments between her and them. Shradhanjali was allegedly involved in the offence.

According to the complaint lodged by filmmaker Akshay Parija, Archana had demanded Rs 3 crore threatening him of making his objectionable videos and photographs with a woman public.
