Odisha: Shankaracharya demands probe into Sri Mandir’s missing Ratna Bhandar keys

Puri: Expressing displeasure over missing Ratna Bhandar keys of Sri Mandir, Puri Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati of Govardhan Peeth today demanded probe into the matter.

He said that the matter should be investigated to disclose how and why the keys went missing by the temple authorities.

Earlier in the day, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Niranjan Patnaik today blamed the state government and Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) over missing keys of Jagannath Temple treasury where the precious gold and silver jewelries of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra were stored.

He met Swami Nischalananda Saraswati at Govardhan Peeth during his visit to Puri here today and discussed the issue with him.

Meanwhile, Jagannath Sena staged protests in the pilgrim city against the government and temple administration over the missing keys of Ratna Bhandar.
