Odisha shivers as 10 stations record below 10 degree C

Bhubaneswar: Intense cold wave condition continues to grip several parts of Odisha with the mercury plummeting below 10 degree Celsius at 10 places in the state in last 24 hours.

As per the weathermen, G Udaygiri and Phulbani of Kandhamal district recorded the lowest 4.5 degree Celsius followed by Daringbadi (7.5), Balangir (7.8 ) Angul (9.6),  Baripada (9.6), Jharsuguda (8.2), Keonjhar (8.2), Bhawanipatna (8.5) and Sonepur (9.5).

The minimum temperature in Twin City of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar stood at 11.8 and 13 degree Celsius, respectively.

Yesterday, the Regional MeT Centre predicted that severe cold wave condition is very likely to grip several districts of the state during next three to four days under the influence of northwesterly/northerly dry and cold wind at lower levels penetrating the state.
