Odisha shivers under cold wave; 22 places record below 15 degree C

Bhubaneswar: Entire Odisha reeled under cold wave that brought the minimum temperature down below 15 degree Celsius in many places in last 24 hours.

As many as 22 places recorded below 15 degree Celsius on Wednesday night. While Daringbadi stood at 7 degree Celsius becoming the coldest place of Odisha, Phulbani recorded the minimum temperature of 9 degree C, Keonjhar 10.4 degree C, Jharsuguda 10.6 degree C, Koraput 10.6 degree C, Titilagarh 10.8 degree C, Bhawanipatna 11 degree C, Sundargarh 11.5 degree C, Talcher 12 degree C and Angul 12.6 degree C.

The night temperature dropped to 12.8 degree Celsius in Hirakud, Balangir and Sonepur and 13 degree C in Baripada and Chandbali.

Other places that recorded minimum temperature below 15 degree C yesterday night were Sambalpur (13.5 degree C), Balasore (13.9 degree C), Malkangiri (14 degree C), Nayagarh (14 degree C) and Boudh (14 degree C).

The night temperature decreased to 14 degree C in Cuttack and 14.4 degree C in Bhubaneswar yesterday.
