Odisha shocker: Father-son duo rape minor girl for 3 months

Jharsuguda:  In a shocking incident, an elderly man and his son allegedly raped a minor girl for over three months in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district.

The matter came to light after the victim lodged a complaint at Jharsuguda Town police station today.

The accused are yet to be identified as the victim is still not able to speak properly out of shock and fear, police said.

According to reports, the father-son duo had raped the minor girl for three months by holding her captive in a room in Talcher in Angul district.

The victim was employed in the house of the accused as a cook.

She managed to escape from the clutches the accused and filed a complaint with police after reaching Jharsuguda yesterday.

Meanwhile, the police have started an investigation into the incident on the basis of the victim’s complaint.

“We will soon arrest the accused after identification,” said Jharsuguda Town police Inspector-In-Charge Savitri Bal.

No one was arrested till the time of filing this report.
