Odisha shocker! Four-year-old girl raped by auto-rickshaw driver

Koraput: In a shocking incident, a four-year-old girl was raped by an auto-rickshaw driver in Koraput town on Friday. Based a complaint lodged by the minor girl’s family today, police have registered a case and arrested the accused.

As per reports, the accused, Sharat Pidika (19) of Puruna Koraput used to ferry the victim and other children in his auto-rickshaw from their homes to school and vice versa every day. On Friday, Sharat dropped all the children except the victim at their houses.

Finding the minor girl alone in the auto-rickshaw, Sharat parked the vehicle at a lonely place and raped her. Later the accused dropped the victim at her house.

In the evening, when the girl complained of pain in lower abdomen, her family members inquired about the matter. The girl narrated the whole incident before her family.

The girl’s family members lodged a complaint today morning following which police have launched a probe.
