This 24-year-old from Cuttack was chosen in a 'Humnava Mere' contest organised by T-Series. "I came to know that I was the winner of the contest when T-Series declared it on their social media handles. I was chosen from among 5000-odd entries. They called me to Mumbai where I met Jubin. It was an amazing experience! He is so polite, humble and cooperative. We jammed for a few hours before recording and he guided me throughout. He gave me valuable suggestions and tips," said an ecstatic Amrita in an exclusive chat with Odisha Sun Times.
She is known for releasing cover versions of various songs on her YouTube channel that have become quite popular with netizens. "Social media gives you the freedom to experiment with many elements, whereas in a studio, you need to follow the instructions of the music director, according to the demand of the song. I can make my own variations in the song as I like and upload them for the digital audience," she added.
