Sharing the grief of the people of Nepal who died in thousands in a devastating earthquake on April 25, the Odisha Roller Skating Academy and Kendrapara Credit Cooperative Society today donated money to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
Pic: Biswaranjan MishraA team of 13 young skaters of the Academy, led by their coach Parthasarathi Jena, met chief minister Naveen Patnaik at his chamber at the State Secretariat here and handed him a cheque of Rs 50,500.
The team, having children in the age group of 3-13 years, had collected the money while skating at several places in the capital city.
Besides, president of Kendrapara Credit Cooperative Society, Pramod Kumar Sahu handed the chief minister a cheque of Rs one lakh.
The chief minister thanked the gestures of Behera and the skating team to the quake-hit victims of the Himalayan Kingdom.
