Odisha so far vaccinated 48.10 lakh people against COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: Even as COVID-19 is quickly spreading its tentacles across the country in the second phase, the state has so far vaccinated 48,10,780 people against the deadly virus.

Informing this, Odisha Health and Family Welfare Director and state Vaccine In-charge Bijay Panigrahi today said people were administered with the vaccine jab at 1050 centres in the state yesterday and today, the immunization is underway at 700 centres.

Regarding vaccine shortage, the official said the vaccination drive has been halted at 800 centres today due to due to the shortage. It has been completely stopped in Koraput district today.

“We are expecting 3 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine to reach Bhubaneswar today and it will be sent to different districts,” he further informed.
