Odisha: South Africa returnee tests COVID positive amid new strain scare

Bhubaneswar: Amid concern over the highly contagious new strain of COVID-19, a South Africa returnee of Digapahandi area in Odisha’s Ganjam district tested positive for the virus, informed Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra today.

The sample has been sent to Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar to ascertain the strain of the virus.
