Odisha Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro resigns

Bhubaneswar: Amidst speculations over major reshuffle in Odisha Cabinet, Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro resigned from the post today.

Patro sent his resignation to Deputy Speaker Rajani Kant Singh.

As per official sources, the development came after few Ministers were asked to submit their resignations, on the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
