Odisha Sports Director Vineel Krishna under self-quarantine after US visit

Bhubaneswar: Amid coronavirus scare across the world, Odisha Sports Director Vineel Krishna today issued a video clip in which he informed that he has been under self-quarantine since yesterday.

“Though I have not shown any symptoms of coronavirus after the recent foreign visit, I have kept myself under self-quarantine as per the Odisha government’s advisories. I have registered myself on the COVID-19 website,” said Vineel.

He also urged others to follow the government advisories to help tackle spread of coronavirus.

Recently the official had gone to the United States for some official work.

Meanwhile, Odisha government’s Chief Spokesperson Subroto Bagchi today informed 1,239 persons have registered so far for self-quarantine in the last 24 hours. Of them 554 have registered through call centres whereas 685 through COVID-19 portal.

Out of 32 samples, 31 have been tested negative. The one tested positive is stable now, he informed.
