Odisha: Sri Mandir ‘hundi’ money to be parked in nationalized bank
Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee today decided to keep the money received from the temple ‘hundi’ or donation box in a nationalized bank. Speaking to media persons after the temple managing committee meeting here under the chairmanship of Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb, the chief administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Krishan Kumar said the money collected from ‘hundi’ will be parked in a nationalized bank instead of a private bank.
Besides, the Sri Mandir Corpus Fund will be deposited in the State Bank of India, as per a decision taken in the meeting.
The SJTA chief administrator further said the Sri Mandir will be in possession of the land following eviction within 75 meters from Meghanad Pacheri.
