Odisha State Bar Council asks bar associations to certify lawyers seeking financial aid

Cuttack: The Odisha State Bar Council asked advocates seeking financial assistance due to COVID-19 pandemic to submit one declaration in a prescribed format. The application format will be then sent to the Chairmen/Secretaries of Interim Committee of concerned Bar Associations.

In a letter, the Odisha State Bar Council said the bar associations must forward the applications to it.

“However, it is found that many applications are submitted without the said verification. The said applications are herewith sent to the concerned Bar Associations for necessary verification with a request to forward the said applications along with the declaration form of the applicant advocates,” the letter read.
