Odisha: State Election Commission notifies date for re-poll in Dhamnagar NAC

Bhubaneswar: The State Election Commission (SEC) notified the date for fresh poll in four wards of Dhamnagar NAC in Bhadark district where voting was disrupted during the recently held urban local body elections.

In a notification, the poll commission stated the re-poll will be held at Booth No. 3 of Ward No. 2, Booth No. 8 and 9 in Ward No. 5, Booth No. 16 of Ward No. 9 and Booth No. 17 and 18 in Ward no. 10 of Dhamnagar NAC from 10 AM to 4 PM on April 5, 2022.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Article 243-ZA of the Constitution Of India, Rule 54 of the Odisha Municipal (Delimitation of Wards, Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election) Rules, 1994, the State Election Commission has order for the re-poll in the booths, the notification added.

The counting of votes will be held on March 6, 2022 from 8 AM onwards.
