Bhubaneswar: Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Odisha government today decided to organise the state-level Independence Day celebration at the Unit-III Exhibition Grounds in Bhubaneswar. The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy here.

Official sources said the I-Day celebration will be held with the observance of the Covid guidelines and maintaining social distancing norms.

The sources added the police band will perform the national anthem and a troupe of three police forces will salute the national flag and the Chief Guest.

The celebration will be held with the participation of a limited number of people, including the Covid Warriors, the sources added.
